The Hottest Chef Contest® is a competition challenging chefs and culinary students from the United States to create original, bold and flavorful recipes that demonstrate how using one or more TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauces enhances the flavors in food. Since 1999, chefs and students from top restaurants, hotels and culinary institutes have convened to serve up spectacular creations, centered on a chosen theme.
The contest is typically judged by a panel of top New Orleans chefs and culinary experts and provides an exciting venue for trendsetting talents and established leaders of the food industry to taste, create, share and inspire. Said another way, it’s a deliciously famous and fun event!
The contest, featured in national publications such as Sauté and The National Culinary Review, has resulted in a delightful collection of award-winning recipes like Oven-Roasted Pork Tenderloin with 7 Vegetable Couscous and TABASCO® Green Chimichurri, Cedar-Planked Oysters Rockabasco, and Lemon Grass Seafood Fritters with Jalapeño-Papaya Miso and Chipotle-Tamarind Mustard.
