HAM AND SWEET ONION SANDWICHES WITH PARSLEY BUTTER

Ingredients Weight Measure
Flat leaf parsley, fresh 3/4 cup
Butter, unsalted, softened 2 Tbsp.
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 1 tsp.
Salt to taste
Vidalia onion, sweet, large 1 ea.
Ham, cooked, thinly sliced 1/4 lb.
Whole wheat bread 8 slices

Method

  1. Finely chop parsley in a food processor; then add butter, TABASCO® Sauce and salt and blend to paste.
  2. Cut four slices crosswise from center of onion, reserving remainder for another use.
  3. Spread another 1-1/2 tsp. of parsley butter on each slice of bread. For each serving, arrange 1 onion slice on bottom slice, top with 1/4 ham and top slice.

Yield: 4 servings
