HUMMUS BURGERS

Ingredients Weight Measure
Tahini 1/4 cup
Lemon juice, fresh 2 Tbsp.
Salt and pepper to taste
Garbanzo beans, drained 26 oz.
Cumin, ground 1 Tbsp.
Lemon, juiced 1 ea.
Garlic, cloves, finely chopped 2 ea.
Eggs, lightly beaten 2 ea.
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 1 Tbsp.
Pita pockets 6 ea.
Lettuce leaves 6 ea.
Tomato slices 6 ea.

Method

  1. Combine tahini with lemon juice, season with salt and pepper and stir well. Reserve.
  2. In the bowl of a food processor, combine the garbanzo beans, cumin, lemon juice, garlic, eggs and TABASCO® Sauce.
  3. Pulse until smooth.
  4. Form 6 patties and chill for 1 hour.
  5. Grill or broil for 7-9 minutes each side or until cooked through.
  6. Place in pita pockets and top with tahini sauce, lettuce and tomato.
