Ingredients Weight Measure
Oil 1 Tbsp.
Onion, medium, chopped 1 ea.
Garlic cloves, chopped 2 ea.
Mushrooms, chopped 1/4 lb.
Lentils, cooked until tender 2 cups
Walnuts, crushed 1 cup
TABASCO® brand Habanero Sauce 1 tsp.
Eggs, lightly beaten 2 ea.
Curry powder 2 tsp.
Cheddar cheese, slices 6 ea.
Hamburger buns 6 ea.
Lettuce leaves 6 ea.
Tomato slices 6 ea.


  1. Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the oil and then the onions and garlic.
  3. Cook for 3 minutes; then add the mushrooms and cook another 3 minutes.
  4. Remove from pan and place in a mixing bowl with the lentils, walnuts, TABASCO® Habanero Sauce, eggs and curry powder.
  5. Form mixture into 6 patties and chill 1 hour.
  6. Grill or broil patties for 3-4 minutes on the 1 side. Turn and top with cheddar cheese; cook another 3 minutes. Serve on buns with lettuce and tomato.
