Ingredients Weight Measure
Buttermilk 2 cups
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 4 Tbsp.
Washington oysters, medium-sized 4 ea./sandwich
Flour 1/4 cup
Cornmeal 1/4 cup
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
French roll, long 1 ea.
Jack cheese, thinly sliced 6 ea.
Bacon, hickory-smoked, cooked 3 pcs.
Salt & Pepper to taste


  1. In a mixing bowl, pour the buttermilk and TABASCO® Sauce.
  2. Add oysters and marinate in the sauce combination.
  3. Let marinate for 30 minutes.
  4. Then in a separate bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, salt and pepper.
  5. After marinating, toss oysters in the cornmeal mixture and coat evenly.
  6. Deep-fry the oysters for 4 minutes at 350°F.
  7. Place 4 oysters on 1 side of French bread and add 2 slices of Jack cheese and 3 pieces of hickory- smoked bacon.
  8. Put under the broiler to melt cheese.
  9. Once the cheese is melted, add the top to the bread.
  10. Garnish with french fries, lemon wedges, and tartar sauce.
