Ingredients Weight Measure
Flour 1 cup
Thyme, dried 2 tsp.
Salt 2 Tbsp.
Garlic, powdered 1 Tbsp.
Buttermilk 1 cup
TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce 1/2 tsp.
Chicken, whole, cut up 1 ea.
Olive oil, for frying


  1. In a plastic bag, combine flour, thyme, salt and garlic. Shake to mix.
  2. Dip a piece of chicken into the buttermilk, drop into the bag and shake to coat. Repeat with remaining chicken.
  3. Heat a large skillet with 2" of oil.
  4. Add chicken to hot oil and fry until deep golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Remove to a paper towel–lined plate and serve.
