Ingredients Weight Measure
Idaho® potatoes, peeled, shredded 1 lb.
Shallots, minced 1 Tbsp.
Egg 1 ea.
Breadcrumbs 2 oz.
TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce 1 tsp.
Sweet Italian sausage, cooked, skin removed, ground 4 oz.
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Corn oil 1/4 cup


  1. Place peeled and shredded potatoes in bowl. Squeeze out excess liquid.
  2. Add minced shallots, egg, bread crumbs, TABASCO® Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce and cooked sausage and mix until blended. Season to taste.
  3. Place oil in skillet. Heat. When oil is hot, form pancakes into 4-oz. portions and cook. Brown well on both sides until fully cooked.

Yield: 4 4-oz. pancakes
