TABASCO® Zesty Tomato Sauce

Butter 2 Tbsp.
Onions, finely chopped 2 Tbsp.
Garlic clove, minced 1 ea.
Tomato puree 4 cups
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 2 Tbsp.
Cornstarch 2 Tbsp.
Salt to taste

Spicy Turkey Rissoles

Turkey, ground 2 lbs.
Garlic cloves, chopped fine 2 ea.
Thyme, dry, ground 1/2 lb.
Scallions, chopped 2 lbs.
Salt to taste
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce
Potatoes, mashed, prepared 20 oz.
Eggs, whole, beaten 2 ea.
Breadcrumbs 4 oz.
Vegetable oil, for frying 2 oz.


  1. To prepare the TABASCO® Zesty Tomato Sauce, sauté onions in butter in a saucepan. Add garlic, tomato puree and TABASCO® Sauce and bring to a boil.
  2. Mix cornstarch in a little water and add to the sauce a little at a time, stirring constantly. Add salt.
  3. When sauce has thickened, remove from fire and reserve warm.
  4. To prepare the Spicy Turkey Rissoles, in a mixing bowl, bring together the ground turkey, garlic, thyme, scallions, salt and TABASCO® Sauce. Mix well.
  5. Add the prepared mashed potatoes and beaten eggs and mix well.
  6. Using an ice cream scoop, shape the mixture into balls and roll them in breadcrumbs.
  7. Heat oil in a skillet and add the rissoles. Cook until browned, turning frequently.
  8. Remove from skillet and place on a baking pan lined with greaseproof paper. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and serve with the TABASCO® Zesty Tomato Sauce.
