FRENCH TOASTED TUNA SANDWICHES

Ingredients Weight Measure
Canned tuna 9 oz
Celery, finely chopped 1/4 cup
Onion, finely chopped 1/4 cup
Sweet pickle relish 1/4 cup
TABASCO® brand Garlic Pepper Sauce 1 tsp.
RenĂ©e's® Mayonnaise 1/4 cup
Bread, dry 12 slices
Eggs, beaten 2 ea.
Milk 1/3 cup
Vanilla 1/2 tsp.
Oil or fat 2 Tbsp.

Method

  1. Drain and flake tuna.
  2. Mix celery, onions, relish, TABASCO® Garlic Pepper Sauce and Mayonnaise.
  3. Spread tuna mixture on 6 slices of bread; top with remaning slices.
  4. Mix eggs, milk and vanilla. Dip sandwiches into egg mixture to coat each side.
  5. Brown in fat on a hot griddle or in a fry pan, about 3 to 4 minutes on each side.

Yield: 6 sandwiches
