PECAN PIE WITH BRANDIED HARD SAUCE

Ingredients Weight Measure
Sugar 1 oz.
Karo® syrup, light 1-1/2 pt.
Eggs 4 ea.
Vanilla to taste
Salt 1/4 oz.
Butter, melted 1-1/2 oz.
Pecans 4 oz.
Pie shell, 9" 1 ea.
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 1/2 tsp.
Butter 4 oz.
Confectioners' sugar 8 oz.
Brandy 1 Tbsp.

Method

  1. Mix sugar and syrup together.
  2. Whip eggs, vanilla, salt and butter and add to sugar mixture.
  3. Add pecans to pie shell and pour in batter; bake at 350°F until firm.
  4. Mix TABASCO® Sauce with butter, confectioners' sugar and brandy. Serve 1 heaping Tbsp. with each slice of pie.
