STUFFED TOMATOES WITH ORZO AND BASIL

Ingredients Weight Measure
Orzo 2 cups
Tomato puree 1 cup
Olive oil 1 Tbsp.
Garlic, minced 1 tsp.
Basil 2 Tbsp.
TABASCO® brand Garlic Pepper Sauce 2 Tbsp.
Salt to taste
Tomatoes, fresh, large 6-8 ea.

Method

  1. Cook orzo; drain well.
  2. Add all ingredients, except whole tomatoes, and mix well.
  3. Slice off tops of tomatoes and scoop out insides; fill with orzo mixture.
  4. Bake in 300°F oven until thoroughly heated, approximately 10-15 minutes.

Yield: 6-8 servings
