SMOKED HAM STEAK ON GARLIC BREAD WITH RED EYE GRAVY

Ingredients Weight Measure
Smoked ham steaks, 4 oz. 8 ea.
Brewed coffee 1/2 cup
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 1 Tbsp.
Butter 1 Tbsp.
Brown sugar, light 1 Tbsp.
Garlic toast slices 16 ea.

Method

  1. Remove excess fat from ham and place ham and fat into saucepan. Over high heat, brown ham on both sides and render additional fat.
  2. Remove ham and fat pieces and add coffee and TABASCO® Sauce. Reduce by 1/2 and whisk in butter. Remove from heat.
  3. For each serving, place ham steak on 2 garlic toast slices and drizzle with gravy.

Yield: 8 servings
