SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE WITH SPICY LEMON CURD

Ingredients Weight Measure
Sour cream pound cake, 10 in. 1 ea.
Spicy lemon curd, recipe below
Sugar 1 cup
Lemon juice 3/4 cup
Eggs 3 ea.
Butter, unsalted 1/4 cup
Lemon zest 1 ea.
TABASCO® Brand Habanero Sauce 1/2 tsp.

Method

  1. Combine sugar, zest, lemon juice, eggs and TABASCO® Brand Pepper Sauce in stainless steel bowl.
  2. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan and remove from heat. Place stainless bowl over steaming saucepan and whisk constantly until mixture starts to thicken, about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove bowl from steaming water and whisk in butter until melted.
  4. Chill overnight and serve over a slice of sour cream pound cake.
