BISCOTTI WITH TOASTED ALMONDS AND AMARETTO

Ingredients Weight Measure
Butter 1/2 cup
Sugar 1/2 cup
Eggs 2 ea.
Vanilla 1 tsp.
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 1- 1/2 Tbsp.
Amaretto liqueur 1 Tbsp.
Flour, sifted 2 cups
Baking powder 2 tsp.
Salt 1/8 tsp.
Almonds 1/2 cup
Semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 cup

Method

  1. Cream butter and sugar and add eggs, vanilla, TABASCO® Sauce and amaretto.
  2. Add sifted flour and other dry ingredients; fold in nuts and chocolate chips.
  3. Form into two loaves and bake at 350°F for approx. 30 min.
  4. Remove, cool slightly and slice into ¾" cookies. Place back in oven and bake for another 5 minutes. Remove and cool.

Yield: 8 servings
