BANANA EMPANADAS WITH DARK CHOCOLATE CHIPS

Ingredients Weight Measure
Pie dough 2 lbs.
Banana 12 oz.
Butter 2 oz.
Brown sugar 1 Tbsp.
Spiced rum 1 Tbsp.
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 2 tsp.
Chocolate chips, semi sweet 1/2 cup

Method

  1. Roll out pie dough and cut into 4" circles.
  2. Soften chocolate in a stainless steel bowl and mash together all remaining ingredients.
  3. Place 1 heaping tsp. of mashed banana mixture in middle of each dough circle. Wash outside rim of dough with water.
  4. Fold dough over mixture and crimp edges using fork tines.
  5. Bake at 350°F until golden brown. Cool and serve.
