MAPLE, SAUSAGE AND ORANGE CREAM CHEESE TURNOVERS

Ingredients Weight Measure
Cream cheese 12 oz.
Orange marmalade 1/2 cup
Maple syrup 1 Tbsp.
TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce 2 tsp.
Puff pastry thawed 2 packages
Egg, large 1 ea.
Sausage links, cooked 1 lb.
Almonds, for garnish as needed

Method

  1. Combine cream cheese, marmalade, maple syrup and TABASCO® Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce. Roll the pastry and cut into 6" x 6".
  2. In a small bowl, beat the egg and use to egg wash around the border of the pastry. Place 2 Tbsp. cream cheese mixture on each pastry. Add half a sausage.
  3. Fold pastry over and seal the edges by pressing down with a fork. Brush the exterior with egg wash and sprinkle with almonds. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
