Ingredients Weight Measure
Coconut, fresh, chopped fine or coarsely grated 1 cup
Butter 2 Tbsp.
Onion, small, chopped fine 1 ea.
White rice 1 cup
Coconut water or 1/2 coconut milk 1/2 water 1 cup
TABASCO® brand Habanero Sauce 1 tsp.
Chicken stock 1 cup


  1. In a saucepan, sauté the coconut in the butter for a couple of minutes or until it starts to brown. Add the onions and sauté until soft. Add the rice to the mixture and continue to sauté until the rice turns opaque.
  2. In saucepan, mix coconut milk, TABASCO® Habanero Sauce, and stock; bring to a boil. Add the rice mixture, reduce the heat, cover and simmer until the rice is done, about 20 to 30 minutes.
