Vegetable cooking spray, butter flavored 1 tsp.
Sugar 1 cup
Corn syrup, light 1/2 cup
Salt 1/8 tsp
Cashews, unsalted, dry-roasted 1-1/2 cups
Butter 1 Tbsp.
Vanilla 1 tsp.
Baking soda 1 tsp.
TABASCO® brand Habanero Sauce 1 tsp.


  1. Spray a cookie sheet (with sides) with the cooking spray and set aside. Heat the sugar, corn syrup and salt in a thick-bottomed pot until bubbling. Stir in the cashews, butter and vanilla. Continue to cook until the candy turns a light golden color.
  2. Remove from the heat and beat in the baking soda and TABASCO® Habanero Sauce (the candy will foam up when you add the soda).
  3. Immediately pour the mixture onto the cookie sheet and use a spatula to spread the brittle as thin as possible.
  4. Do these steps as quickly as possible because the candy sets up fast! Allow the candy to sit until cool, about 1 to 2 hours. Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
