BEER-BATTERED FRIED AVOCADO WEDGES WITH SALSA

Ingredients Weight Measure
Lager beer or ale 1 cup
All-purpose flour 1 cup
Paprika 2 tsp.
Garlic cloves, chopped finely 1 Tbsp.
TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce 1 Tbsp.
California avocados 2 ea.
Salt to taste

Method

  1. Whisk together beer, flour, paprika, garlic, and TABASCO® Chipotle Pepper Sauce until well blended; let stand at least 2 hours.
  2. Peel avocados and cut each into 6 wedges. Dredge wedges in reserved beer batter.
  3. Deep-fry in hot oil (370°F ) until golden, about 3 minutes.
