Chipotle Salt

Dried chipotle pepper 1 ea.
Kosher salt 1/2 cup

Cilantro Syrup

Water 1 cup
Granulated syrup 1 cup
Cilantro leaves and small stems 1/3 cup

Sweet 100 Tomatoes, halved 5 ea.
Chipotle Salt (recipe above) pinch
TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce 6-7 dashes
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 1 dash
Cilantro Syrup (recipe above) 1/2 oz.
Lime juice 1/2 oz.
Silver tequila 2 oz.
Sweet 100 Tomato - garnish 1 ea.


  1. To prepare Chipotle Salt, remove the seeds and stem from a dried chipotle pepper and buzz in an electric spice or coffee grinder until it is broken into tiny pieces. Add kosher salt to the grinder and buzz to combine. Pour into a bowl or a plate for use.
  2. To prepare Cilantro Syrup, combine ingredients. Simmer over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes to dissolve the sugar and extract the cilantro flavor. Strain and cool before using.
  3. In a mixing glass, muddle the tomatoes with the Chipotle Salt, TABASCO® Chipotle Pepper Sauce and TABASCO® Original Red Sauce into a paste
  4. Add the syrup, lime juice, tequila and ice, and shake vigorously for 20 to 30 seconds. Strain into a cocktail glass that is rimmed with the Chipotle Salt and garnish with an additional tomato.
