TABASCO®-SMOKED STRAWBERRY COCKTAIL

Whole smoked strawberries* (muddled) 4 ea.
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 4-5 drops
Dark rum 1-1/4 oz.
Strawberry Liqueur 3/4 oz.
TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce 2 dashes
Sparkling Berry Lemonade Float

1/2 smoked strawberry* with black pepper
TABASCO® pulp & brown sugar rim**

Method

  1. *Smoked strawberries - lightly coat fresh cleaned strawberries with TABASCO® Original Red Sauce (4-5 drops). Cool under fan to create a sticky surface for the strawberries. Then cold smoke for 1 hour with TABASCO® wood chips.
  2. Pour all ingredients except garnishes in a shaker glass. Pack with ice and shake vigorously (8-12 times). Strain into a chilled rimmed martini glass and garnish with 1/2 smoked strawberry.
  3. **TABASCO® Rim - this is a product that our restaurant gets straight from the factory and is the peppers ground before the vinegar. Might also be called mash. 1 part pulp, 2 parts brown sugar.
