Ingredients Weight Measure
Leek 1 ea.
Vidalia onion 1 ea.
Green onions 1 bunch
Bacon bits 2 oz.
Olive oil 2 oz.
Shrimp, medium, cooked 2 lbs.
Heavy cream 16 oz.
Shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, blended 4 oz.
Instant grits 5 oz.
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 4 shakes, to taste
White wine 3 oz.
Green onion tops for garnish
Jumbo shrimp for garnish


  1. Dice the leek, onion, green onions and bacon bits and sauté in large frying pan with the olive oil.
  2. Add the shrimp and bring to soft boil.
  3. Add the heavy cream, shredded cheese, grits and 4 shakes TABASCO® Sauce.
  4. Bring to a hard boil, stirring constantly.
  5. Simmer until grits are blended and the consistency thickens.
  6. Add more TABASCO® Sauce, to taste.
  7. Scoop into champagne or wine goblets and garnish with green onion tops and jumbo shrimp.
