CHIPOTLE BARBECUE SAUCE

Ingredients Weight Measure
Beef broth 3 cups
Dark brown sugar 1/2 cup
Worcestershire sauce 1/2 cup
Beer - 1 can 12 oz.
Tomato paste - 1 can 6 oz.
Honey 1/4 cup
White distilled vinegar 1/4 cup
Mesquite smoke (to taste) 1-4 Tbsp.
TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce 1/4 cup
Mustard, prepared 1/4 cup
Onion powder 1/4 cup
Paprika 2 Tbsp.
Garlic powder 1 Tbsp.
Salt 1 tsp.
Ascorbic acid or lemon juice 1/2 tsp.

Method

  1. In a large saucepan, add all of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium and simmer for 30-45 minutes.

Yield: 6-8 servings
