Ingredients Weight Measure
Butter 1/2 cup
Granulated sugar 1 cup + 3 tbsp.
Eggs 2 ea.
Orange peel, grated 1 Tbsp.
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 1 Tbsp.
Flour 1-1/2 cups
Baking soda 1 tsp.
Salt 1/2 tsp.
Navel orange juice, fresh squeezed 1 cup
Mascarpone 6 Tbsp.
Honey 1 Tbsp. + 1 tsp.
Milk as needed
Mint or basil leaves as garnish


  1. Preheat oven to 350┬░F.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together in large bowl. Add eggs one at a time; then stir in orange peel and TABASCO® Sauce.
  3. In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add orange juice and flour mix alternately in batches, starting and ending with flour.
  4. Pour batter in a well-greased 9" circular pan. Check at 25 minutes and every 5 minutes after until cake is set and golden/caramel brown on top.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk mascarpone and honey together. Add milk till glaze streams from spoon or fork. Drizzle over entire cake or individual slices.
  6. Serve warm with mint or basil leaves as garnish.
