Ingredients Weight Measure
Salted butter 4 Tbsp.
Dark brown sugar 1/2 cup
Ground allspice 1/2 tsp.
Cinnamon 1/2 tsp.
Banana liqueur 1/4 cup
Bananas, peeled, sliced 5 ea.
Dark spiced rum 1/2 cup
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 1/2 tsp.
Orange zest 1/4 tsp.

  1. Melt butter in 12" heavy skillet over low heat.
  2. Add brown sugar, allspice and cinnamon; stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Add banana liqueur and bring sauce to simmer.
  4. Add bananas and cook for 1 minute on each side, carefully spooning sauce over bananas as they are cooking.
  5. Remove bananas from pan to serving dish.
  6. Bring sauce to simmer and carefully add rum. If sauce is very hot, alcohol will flame on its own. If not, using stick flame, carefully ignite and continue cooking until flame dies out, approximately 1 to 2 minutes.
  7. Add TABASCO® Sauce. If sauce is too thin, cook for 1 to 2 minutes until it is syrupy in consistency.
  8. Add orange zest and stir to combine.
  9. Immediately spoon sauce over bananas and serve.
