MEXICAN CHORIZO PIZZA WITH SALSA VERDE

Salsa Verde

Ingredients Weight Measure
Garlic clove 1 ea.
Shallot, chopped 1 ea.
Poblano chile, seeded 1/2 ea.
Parsley leaves, chopped 1/4 cup
Cilantro leaves, chopped 1/4 bunch
Olive oil 1/2 cup
Lemon juice 3 tsp.
TABASCO® brand Green Jalapeño Pepper Sauce 2-3 Tbsp., to taste
Sea salt to taste
Black pepper, freshly ground to taste

Mexican Chorizo Pizza

Ingredients Weight Measure
Salsa Verde 1/2 cup
Pizza crust, 12" 1 ea.
Queso fresco 8 oz.
Mexican chorizo, cooked 1 cup
Red onion, sliced and sautéed 1 ea.

Method

  1. To make Salsa Verde, in a blender combine all ingredients. Blend until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Spread Salsa Verde on pizza crust, top with remaining pizza ingredients. Bake in preheated 375°F oven until golden brown.

Yield: 1 12-inch pizza
