Onion powder 2 tsp.
Garlic powder 1 tsp.
Celery seed 1/2 tsp.
Ketchup 1/2 cup
Tomato paste 1/4 cup
Cider vinegar 1/4 cup
Brown sugar 6 Tbsp.
Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp.
TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce 3 Tbsp.
Bourbon 1/4 cup
Water 1/4 cup
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Baby back ribs, whole rack 2 ea.
Hero roll 4 ea.


  1. Combine, onion powder, garlic powder, celery seed, ketchup, tomato paste, cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, TABASCO® Chipotle Pepper Sauce, bourbon, water, salt and pepper. Mix well until thoroughly combined. Split into 2 equal amounts.
  2. Combine 1/2 of BBQ sauce with 1 cup of water. Season ribs liberally with salt and pepper. Place ribs in a casserole dish with a lid and cover with sauce. Cover casserole dish with lid.
  3. Cook in a 250┬░F oven for 2 to 2-1/2 hours, until meat is tender and falls off bone.
  4. Remove ribs from casserole dish and place on a metal tray. Brush both sides of each rack with the other half of the BBQ sauce and place under a broiler for 4-5 minutes on each side. Watch closely to avoid burning. (This step can also be done over a medium grill)
  5. Remove rib bones and place meat on lightly toasted hero rolls. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
