Sweet N' Hot Balsamic Glaze

Balsamic vinegar 2 cups
Brown sugar 2 Tbsp.
TABASCO® brand Habanero Sauce 1/4 tsp.

Sesame Seared Tuna

Tuna steaks, 5-1/2 oz. ea. 2 lbs., 6 ea.
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Sesame seeds 1/2 cup
Canola oil 1/2 cup

Method

  1. To prepare Sweet N' Hot Balsamic Glaze, combine balsamic vinegar and brown sugar in a small sauce pot. Simmer over medium low heat until syrup consistency is reached. Finish with TABASCO® Habanero Sauce. Reserve.
  2. To prepare Sesame Seared Tuna, season each tuna steak with salt and pepper. Next generously coat each steak with a layer of sesame seeds.
  3. Preheat a large sauté pan with canola oil over high heat. When hot, sear tuna steaks for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until desired degree of doneness is reached.
  4. Place tuna steaks on a plate and drizzle with Sweet N' Hot Balsamic Glaze.
