PUMPKIN PIE PITA WITH SUGARED CINNAMON CRUST

Ingredients Weight Measure
Cream cheese 16 oz.
Pumpkin pie filling 28 oz.
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 2 tsp.
Pita bread 24 ea.
Butter, melted as needed
Cinnamon sugar as needed
Whipped cream, for garnish as desired

Method

  1. In mixing bowl, blend cream cheese on medium speed for 2 minutes to soften and then on high for 2 minutes to whip.
  2. Add pumpkin pie filling and TABASCO® Sauce and mix on low speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Toast or bake pita bread.
  4. While pit bread is warm, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  5. Cut pita bread in half and fill each side with about 2 oz. filling; garnish with whipped cream to serve.
