APPLE BROWN BETTY

Ingredients Weight Measure
All-purpose flour 32 oz. 8 cups
Butter, melted 32 oz. 4 cups
Brown sugar, divided 44 oz. 9 cups
Apples, peeled, cored, sliced 96 oz. 24 cups
Cinnamon 2-1/2 tsp.
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 2-1/2 oz. 5 Tbsp.
Vanilla ice cream, #30 scoop 12 oz. 12 scoops
Whipped cream as needed

Method

  1. To prepare crumb topping, combine flour, butter and 36 oz. brown sugar. Mix well. Hold.
  2. Combine apples, cinnamon, TABASCO® Sauce and remaining 8-oz. brown sugar. Spread on greased sheet pan and top with reserved crumb topping. Bake in 350°F oven for 25 minutes, until top is golden brown. Cut into 12 portions.
  3. For each serving, place 1 8-oz. portion Apple Brown Betty on plate. Top with one scoop ice cream and whipped cream.
