Ingredients Weight Measure
Butter or margarine 1/4 cup
Small mushrooms, trimmed 1-1/2 lbs.
Garlic, mashed 1 clove
Worcestershire sauce 1/3 cup
Dried leaf thyme, crumbled 1/2 tsp.
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 1/4 tsp.
Cracked black pepper 1/4 tsp.
Salt 1/8 tsp.


  1. Melt butter in large covered skillet; add mushrooms and cook over medium heat 5 minutes, stirring often. Stir in garlic and continue to cook 5 minutes.
  2. Add Worcestershire, thyme, TABASCO® Sauce, pepper and salt. Simmer 5 minutes. Cover.
  3. Cook 10 minutes longer until mushrooms are dark and glossy and the liquid has almost evaporated.
  4. Serve hot with cocktail picks as an hors d'oeuvre. Can also be served at room temperature.

Yield: 12 servings (about 36 mushrooms)
