TABASCO® SEASONED SHAMROCK SCONES

Ingredients Weight Measure
All-purpose flour - 3 1/2 cups
Baking powder - 5 tsp.
Salt - 1 tsp.
Butter or margarine - 3/4 cup
Large eggs - 4 each
Milk - 1/2 cup
TABASCO® brand Green Pepper Sauce - 2 Tbsp.
Green onions, minced - 1/3 cup

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. With pastry blender or two knives, cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat eggs, milk and TABASCO® brand Green Pepper Sauce. Incorporate milk mixture to dry ingredients; stir in green onions.
  3. On lightly-floured surface with lightly-floured hands, pat dough until 1/2-inch thick. Cut dough with 3-inch shamrock or round cookie cutter. Reuse scraps.
  4. Place scones on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 12 minutes or until golden. Remove to cooling rack. Serve warm or let cool completely.
