Ingredients Weight Measure
All-purpose flour 2 cups
Salt 1/2 tsp.
Sweet butter 1-1/2 sticks
Margarine 3 Tbsp.
Ice water 1/4 cup
Sweet potatoes, mashed 2 cups
Sugar 1/3 cup
Salt pinch
Orange rind, grated 1 Tbsp.
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 1 Tbsp.
Whole milk 1/2 cup
Cajeta caramel 1/4 ea.
Brandy 1 Tbsp.
Eggs, large 2 ea.


  1. To make pie shell, blend flour and 1 tsp. salt. Cut butter and margarine into flour. Add water. Hold together and chill 1 hour. Roll out onto pie plate.
  2. To make sweet potato filling, mix sweet potatoes, sugar, salt, orange rind, TABASCO® Sauce, milk, caramel, brandy and eggs. Mix well. Pour into an unbaked pie shell. Bake at 375°F for 50 minutes.
