Ingredients Weight Measure
Stale bread 3-1/2 to 4 lbs.
Water up to 2 cups
Milk 2 cups
Eggs, large 3 ea.
Salt 3/4 tsp.
Nutmeg 2 tsp.
Cinnamon 1 tsp.
Baking powder 2 tsp.
Vanilla extract 2 Tbsp.
Butter, melted 1/2 cup
Sugar 3/4 cup
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce, divided 4 Tbsp.
Pineapple chunks 8 oz. 1 can
Brown sugar 1/2 cup
Honey 2 Tbsp.
Butter 2 Tbsp.


  1. Mix bread, water, milk, eggs, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, baking powder, vanilla, 1/2 cup melted butter, sugar and 2 Tbsp. TABASCO® Sauce together until a "mush" is formed.
  2. Mix pineapple, brown sugar, 2 Tbsp. TABASCO® Sauce, honey and 2 Tbsp. butter together and bring to a boil. Pour into a glass baking pan (13"x 9"x 2") that has been heavily buttered. Add ingredients from Step 1. Bake at 325°F for approximately 1-1/4 hours.
