CREAMY SPICY LEMON ICE CREAM

Ingredients Weight Measure
Water 3 cups
Granulated sugar 2-1/4 cups
Grated fresh lemon zest 1/4 cup
Fresh lemon juice 1-1/2 cups
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 2 Tbsp.
Heavy cream 1-1/2 cups
Lemon peel, grated garnish
Mint sprigs garnish

Method

  1. In heavy medium saucepan, stir together water, sugar, lemon zest and juice, and TABASCO® Sauce. Bring to boil, stirring to dissolve sugar; boil 2 minutes. Cool to room temperature.
  2. Whisk in heavy cream and freeze in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions. Pack into freezer container and freeze until ready to serve. Serve with grated lemon peel and mint sprigs.

Yield: 7 cups
