Ingredients Weight Measure
Eggs, large 10 ea.
Half and half 1 qt.
Sugar 1-1/2 cups
Pure vanilla extract 3 Tbsp.
Grape-Nuts Cereal 1-1/2 cups
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 2 Tbsp.
Cinnamon to taste


  1. Place eggs, half and half, sugar and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl. Whip together well with a stiff wire whisk whip.
  2. In a small bowl, mix TABASCO® Sauce and Grape-Nuts Cereal. Let stand for 10 minutes in bowl.
  3. In a 12" round earthenware dish 1-1/2" deep, place Grape-Nuts in an even layer. Pour the egg mixture over the top. Dust the top with cinnamon.
  4. Place in a 275°F oven on a sheet pan. Fill the sheet pan with water to the top to create a water bath. Let bake for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until firm.
  5. Serve warm with fresh seasonal fruit and whipped cream.
