CREOLE CANDIED BABY CARROTS

Ingredients Weight Measure
Butter 4 oz.
Sugar 6 oz.
Cane syrup 6 oz.
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 1 tsp.
Water 1/4 cup
Carrots, cut oblique 3 lbs.
Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Add all the ingredients to a pan over low heat. Cover tightly until carrots are cooked.
  2. If sauce is not thick, remove the carrots and reduce the sauce until it becomes thin syrup.
  3. Return carrots to the pan and heat through.
