Ingredients Weight Measure
9" piecrusts, prepared 2 ea.
Ground beef 2 lbs.
Oil 1 Tbsp.
Onion, finely chopped 1/4 cup
Green bell pepper, finely chopped 1/4 cup
Basil, dried 1 Tbsp.
Oregano, dried 1 Tbsp.
Black beans, canned, drained, rinsed 16 oz.
TABASCO® brand Garlic Pepper Sauce 1/2 cup
Eggs, beaten 3 ea.
Seasoned breadcrumbs 3/4 cup
Cheddar cheese, shredded, divided 1 cup
Salt to taste

  1. Preheat oven to 350┬░F.
  2. Place 1 of the piecrusts in a 9" pie plate.
  3. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef in the oil; when the beef is halfway done, stir in the onions, green peppers, basil and oregano.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer until beef is done. Drain and set aside to cool for about 10 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the beef, beans, TABASCO® Garlic Pepper Sauce, eggs, breadcrumbs and 3/4 cup cheese. Salt to taste.
  6. Spoon the mixture into the bottom of the piecrust, packing down firmly. Top with the second crust and seal the edges.
  7. Spoon the remaining 1/4 cup cheese on top of the crust and cut 2 to 3 slits in the crust to allow steam to vent.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown. Cut into wedges and serve.
