Ingredients Weight Measure
Whole milk 1 pt.
Heavy cream 1 pt.
Salt pinch
Sugar 9 oz.
Egg yolks 8 oz.
Fresh lime juice 4 oz.
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce, divided 2 Tbsp.


  1. Bring milk, heavy cream, salt and sugar to a boil. Remove from heat.
  2. Whisk egg yolks, lime juice and 1-1/2 Tbsp. TABASCO® Sauce together in a separate bowl.
  3. Temper egg yolk mixture into milk mixture.
  4. Place mixture in ice cream maker.
  5. Once mixture begins to freeze and thicken, add in remaining TABASCO® Sauce.
  6. Allow to mix until thick enough that mixture sticks to metal spoon.
  7. Place in bowl; cover with plastic wrap. Make sure plastic wrap touches top of ice cream; this will prevent ice crystals from forming on top of cream.
  8. Place in freezer 1-4 hours, until firm.

Yield: 12 servings

Serving idea: Garnish with a fresh lime twist.
