Prepared Russian dressing 1/2 cup
TABASCO® brand Original Red Sauce 1/4 cup
Salt and pepper as needed as needed
Butter as needed as needed
Sandwich-cut rye bread 24 slices
Prepared sauerkraut 1 cup
Sandwich-cut deli pastrami or deli corned beef 36 slices
Sandwich-cut Swiss cheese 24 slices


  1. In a stainless steel bowl, combine Russian dressing and TABASCO® Sauce. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  2. For each sandwich: coat 1 side of each 2 slices of bread with butter. Coat non-buttered side of 1 slice with 1-1/2 to 2 Tbsp. of the prepared Russian Pepper Sauce.
  3. Place 1 Tbsp. sauerkraut on top of the dressing and stack with 3 slices of pastrami/corned beef and 2 slices of Swiss cheese. Top with remaining slice of buttered bread, buttered side out.
  4. Using a preheated nonstick skillet, lightly toast each buttered side of the sandwich until golden brown and cheese is melted.

Yield: 12 sandwiches
