Vegetable oil as needed
Red tomatoes 36 slices
Salt and pepper as needed
All-purpose flour as needed
Eggs, lightly beaten 6 ea.
TABASCO® brand Chipotle Pepper Sauce 4 Tbsp.
Light bread, sandwich cut, toasted 24 slices
Swiss cheese, sliced 1/8" thick 24 slices
Butter-flavored oil as needed


  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet to smoke point.
  2. Liberally season 3 slices of tomato with salt and pepper, dust with flour and dip in slightly beaten eggs that have been mixed with TABASCO® Chipotle Pepper Sauce. Dredge in flour again and remove excess. Cook in the vegetable oil until coating is lightly brown (about 3-5 minutes). Remove from oil and allow fat to drain on paper toweling.
  3. Assemble sandwich: bread slice, Swiss cheese, 3 tomato slices, Swiss cheese, bread slice. Brush exterior sides of bread with butter-flavored oil and place on griddle top at 350°F, turning once first side is golden brown. Cook until cheese is melted through, cut and serve.
