TABASCO® Foodservice "Splash It On" Screen Saver Frequently Asked Questions
1. I'm having trouble getting the screensaver to download and install.
(Note: the Windows versions are self-extracting archives, so you will not need WinZip.) Windows 95 / Windows NT and Windows 3.1 Instructions:
Click on file link to download, and choose "Save File" saving to your "temp" directory. Launch the file. Run the "Install.exe" file and the screen saver will install itself. You will see a message saying the "screensaver has successfully been installed" when the install is complete. In order to modify the settings, you can right click on your desktop and click on "Properties".
You will be presented with the "Display Properties" window. Click on the "Screensaver" tab.
The Foodservice Splash It On screensaver name will appear in the pull down menu. You can click the preview button to view the Screensaver. The wait time before the screensaver will appear when the computer is idle is indicated in the "Wait" window. This can be adjusted to best serve your needs. Finally, you click the "Apply" button at the bottom of the window to set this screensaver as your default screensaver. Enjoy!
2. I installed the screensaver, but it won't launch; or when it does, the screen is black or the desktop doesn't appear. Or, I get an "out of memory" error. What's up?
In all likelihood you have a large monitor set to maximum (usually "millions", or 24-bit) color depth. Try setting your monitor to display 16-bit (or "thousands") colors. Under Windows, do this in the Display control panel. Another possibility is that you don't have enough free RAM. Try quitting a few applications and see if it works then. If you have less than 6MB free at the time the screensaver launches, there is a good chance you need more memory.
3. I've read all this and yet I still have an unresolved problem. Can someone help?
Send a detailed e-mail describing your problem to screensavers@bentmedia.com. Please include the following information: Operating System (e.g., Windows 95)
